"Sometimes our efforts that seem like typical patient care have a much greater impact than we realize. At an 11-year well check I had a parent remember how stressed they were when this preteen was 4 days old and was jaundiced, and not feeding well, and how I was able to give education, encouragement and a toolbox of interventions. It helped them through a tough time, and it made a huge difference in their lives."
