Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) are accountable for performing patient care activities associated with the personal needs and comfort of patients served by the practice, assisting medical providers, and maintaining a clean and safe environment in accordance with the policies and procedures of the practice. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: performing vitals, administering injections and immunizations, assisting with triaging, urinalysis, well visits, rooming patients, and other tasks as assigned.

Minimum qualifications for this position include:

  • Education: A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent; graduate from an accredited school of medical assisting
  • Experience: Entry level with at least one year of clinical medical office experience preferred
  • License/Certification: CPR required upon employment; Certified Medical Assistant required within first 90 of employment and maintained throughout employment
  • Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
    • Manual dexterity and visual acuity necessary to perform procedures on patients.
    • Ability to work with patients, doctors, patient care staff, and families to provide optimal levels of patient care, including ability to deal with difficult and/or high patient volume.
    • Professional attitude and appearance; excellent patient relations skills.
    • Knowledge of current medical office procedures and willingness to continuously learn and update knowledge. 
    • Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instruction; ability to speak clearly and concisely.
    • Ability to read, write, add, subtract, multiply, divide, and compute ratios, percentages, and fractions

License Practical Nurse

License Practical Nurses (LPN) are accountable for performing nursing care activities associated with the personal needs and comfort of patients served by the practice, assisting medical providers, and maintaining a clean and safe environment in accordance with the policies and procedures of the practice. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: performing vitals, administering injections and immunizations, assisting with triage, urinalysis, well visits, rooming patients, and many other day-to-day back office responsibilities.

Minimum qualifications for this position include:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Pediatrics (1 year)
  • Licensure/Certification: LPN Licence (required) 
  • Skills: Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows; strong customer service skills and a positive attitude

Patient Service Representative

Patient Service Representatives (PSRs) greet, instruct, direct, and schedule patients and office visitors, and serve as a liaison between patients and medical support staff. Other responsibilities include verifying demographic information and insurance coverage, collecting co-payments, reviewing patient accounts and balances, promoting patient satisfaction at all times, and other day-to-day front office responsibilities.

Minimum qualifications for this position include:

  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Coursework in medical terminology is a plus.
  • Experience: Entry level; at least 1 year experience in a medical office setting preferred
  • Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
    • Knowledge of medical business office procedures.
    • Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to type patient information.
    • Skill in greeting patients and answering telephones in a pleasant and helpful manner.
    • Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.
    • Ability to work with patients, doctors, patient care staff, and families to provide optimal levels of patient care, including the ability to deal with difficult and/or high patient volumes.
