At PHCA, we prioritize patient care by maintaining evening and weekend hours. Full-time employees must be available for a flexible day shift, which may occasionally include working until approximately 6:00 PM, and one half-day on either Saturday or Sunday every other week. Weekday time off will be provided in exchange for weekend shifts.
Part-Time evening hours employment is also at times available within our 4 locations that offer evenings hours to our patients and families.

Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) are accountable for performing patient care activities associated with the personal needs and comfort of patients served by the practice, assisting medical providers, and maintaining a clean and safe environment in accordance with the policies and procedures of the practice. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: performing vitals, administering injections and immunizations, assisting with triaging, urinalysis, well visits, rooming patients, and many other day-to-day back-office responsibilities.
Minimum qualifications for this position include:
- Education: A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent; graduate from an accredited school of medical assisting
- Experience: Entry level with at least one year of clinical medical office experience preferred
- Certification: CPR required upon employment; Certified Medical Assistant required within first 90 of employment and maintained throughout employment
- Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity necessary to perform procedures on patients.
- Ability to work with patients, doctors, patient care staff, and families to provide optimal levels of patient care, including ability to deal with difficult and/or high patient volume.
- Professional attitude and appearance; excellent patient relations skills.
- Knowledge of current medical office procedures and willingness to continuously learn and update knowledge.
- Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions; ability to speak clearly and concisely.
- Ability to read, write, add, subtract, multiply, divide, and compute ratios, percentages, and fractions

Patient Service Representative
Responsibilities include assisting patients via telephone and in person; referrals; answering telephones, screening calls, taking messages, and providing information; maintaining files with referral slips, authorizations and insurance slips; greeting patients and their family members, checking patients in and out; verifying insurance eligibility, scheduling appointments and ensuring patient demographics are current; triaging patients when needed, collecting co-payments, and other clerical duties as needed.
Minimum qualifications for this position include:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Entry level; prior medical office experience required, preferably in pediatrics
- Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
- Clear understanding of medical terminology. Familiarity with insurance preferred
- Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows
- Strong customer service skills and positive attitude
