A recent Maven Survey highlighted the importance of employers having accessible family care in their employee benefits.

In addition, according to a recent study of Google reviews by the senior editor of the Journal of Urgent Care Medicine, โ€œPediatric visits carry outsized emotional stakes. Reviews mentioning a child average 4.09 stars โ€” meaningfully below the 4.33 overall average. Among 1-star reviews, 21% involve a pediatric visit, compared to 14% of 5-star reviews. Parents arrive with heightened anxiety and lower tolerance for friction. A feverish toddler and a 2-hour wait is a review waiting to be written.โ€

Pediatric Health Care Alliance (PHCA) averages a 4.9/5.0 satisfaction rating across all visit types (urgent care, daytime sick, preventive well, mental health, and developmental pediatrics) based on over 26,000 third-party-verified reviews. We consistently beat the national averages for patient satisfaction by 25%, and no pediatric primary care practice has as robust a patient satisfaction tracking culture as we do.

When designing employee benefits, access to high-quality pediatric care plays a critical role in supporting working families and reducing healthcare friction. Employees and their families value highly rated and respected pediatric groups with great reviews and great access to care.

PHCA is Tampa Bayโ€™s pediatric medical home.
