Clarisse Fres
DO

“My goal in pediatrics is to help my patients and families grow to their full potential. I hope to be by their side through the highs and lows of life from sleep regressions and angsty teenage years to celebrating milestones and graduations. I was one of my own pediatrician’s first newborns, and she supported me throughout my entire life and medical training. I would love to be that same constant, supportive presence for my patients.”

Dr. Clarisse Fres is delighted to return home to Florida and care for the community that helped shape her love for medicine and pediatrics. She was born in Dunedin, Florida, and raised in the Pinellas County area, including Oldsmar and Palm Harbor. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida before earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) in Auburn, Alabama where she also met her husband.

Dr. Clarisse completed her pediatric residency at the University of Kentucky and is excited to bring her training and experiences back to Florida to serve local children and families. She will be board certified this year.

She has a strong passion for community engagement and global health. Dr. Clarisse has participated in multiple medical mission trips to Ecuador and Tanzania, as well as outreach work in rural areas of the United States. These experiences have shaped her compassionate, resourceful approach to care and deepened her commitment to serving patients from diverse and underserved backgrounds. She is fluent in Tagalog/Filipino and values culturally sensitive, family‑centered care.

Although she enjoys all areas of pediatrics, Dr. Clarisse especially loves building long‑term relationships with her patients and families, supporting them through everything from sleepless nights and toddler milestones to teenage challenges and graduation celebrations.

Dr. Clarisse is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians (ACOP). She has proudly served on the national board of ACOP since medical school in 2021.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Clarisse enjoys staying active through Pilates, yoga, hiking, and weight training. She also loves reading, singing, photography, and exploring good food. Family is very important to her, her parents and brother live locally, and her husband is currently completing a Sports Medicine Fellowship. She looks forward to becoming even more involved in the community by taking additional language classes, joining a book club, attending a local church, and possibly singing with a worship group.
