Dr. Clarisse Fres is delighted to return home to Florida to care for the community that helped shape her passion for medicine and pediatrics. Born in Dunedin and raised in Pinellas County, she attended the University of South Florida before earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) in Auburn, Alabama, where she also met her husband.
She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Kentucky and is excited to bring her training back to Florida to serve local children and families. She will be board certified this year.
Dr. Fres is passionate about community engagement and global health, having participated in medical mission trips to Ecuador and Tanzania and outreach efforts in rural areas of the United States. These experiences shaped a compassionate, resourceful approach to caring for patients from diverse and underserved backgrounds. She is fluent in Tagalog/Filipino and values culturally sensitive, family-centered care.
She especially enjoys building long-term relationships with patients and families, supporting them through every stage from newborn care to adolescent milestones.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Fres enjoys staying active through Pilates, yoga, hiking, and weight training. She also loves reading, singing, photography, and exploring new foods. Family is very important to her, with loved ones living locally. She looks forward to becoming more involved in the community through language classes, a book club, a local church, and possibly singing with a worship group.
