Effective Since November 2022
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Policy: Masking will be based on community transmission levels of COVID-19 in our area.
Our mask policy is being updated according to the newest CDC guidelines for healthcare facilities.
To ensure the health and protection of everyone in our facilities, we ask that all patients cooperate with these recommendations when advised by our staff.
Thank you in advance.
Transmission levels will be noted on signs posted on our clinic doors and in exam rooms, with details about mask recommendations.
If Community Transmission is HIGH
- Masking is recommended for everyone in a healthcare setting while in any patient area.
- PHCA providers and staff will be masked during these times
If Community Transmission is NOT HIGH
Masking is recommended for individuals who:
- have suspected or confirmed COVID-19 infection OR other respiratory infection (e.g. runny nose, cough, sneezing)
- had close contact or higher-risk exposure during prior 10 days to someone with COVID-19 infection
Outside of these recommendations, anyone in our facilities is welcome to continue wearing protective facial masks if you so choose.
