Nurse Practitioner Steward joined the Brandon Community Office in 2014. She has over 18 years of clinical experience, first as a nurse and then as a pediatric nurse practitioner. She has worked at Shands Teaching Hospital in Gainesville, All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, as well as in primary care pediatrics in the Tampa Bay area.
Nurse Practitioner Steward received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2004 from University of Florida, and her master of Science as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in 2006 from University of Florida College of Nursing.
She has been board certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board since 2007. She is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant since 2016, with a special interest in the breastfeeding mother-child-dyad.
Nurse Practitioner Steward is married with three daughters and enjoys running, traveling, Gator football games, and volunteering in the community. She looks forward to meeting new patients and watching families grow.
